Hancock was Here

The Little Hancock Fan Club

Posted 1.24.07. 4:45 AM

This morning I got an email from a young tyke named Tommy who had a close encounter with Hancock yesterday. I thought you'd like it.

Dear mr hancock

My name is Tommy. I have a cat named Fontana. He is pretty and friendly and my best friend. Yesterday Fontana got stuck in our tree. I cried a lot because he couldn't come down. My mommy called the fire department but they were too busy to help us. Then you came and got Fontana from the tree! My mommy says that Fontana can't go in our tree anymore because you turned it into toothpicks. What are toothpicks? Thank you so much for saving Fontana. I love him and I love you!

Love
Tommy

Come on, that has to warm even the coldest heart out there.

Hancock is Just Like Us

Hancock may be able to fly, move at super speed and is invulnerable, but besides that, he's just like the rest of us.

HE GOES TO THE MOVIES! On Friday night the crowd at a Beverly Hill’s theater was shocked when LA's own superhero Hancock came to see a revival Frankenstein - and he used the door! The management at the theater tells us that Hancock was a terrific patron, and that he cleaned the concession stand out of popcorn. And candy.

HWH, you didn't mention that this isn't the first Hancock sighting at a screening of Frankenstein. If you ask me this makes the theory that he was created in some kind of a lab more believable. He really identifies with this movie!

land snark, been missing you here since we got back online. You're right, he's been to see Frankenstein before. Maybe it's time for another Who Is Hancock entry.

Forget it Hancock, It's Chinatown

Hop Sing's Dim Sum on Yale Street is a mecca for tourists looking for delicious and authentic Chinese food. Last night diners found it was also a place to see authentic Chinatown gangland action - a group of Triads descended on the restaurant, guns blazing. But before anybody could be hurt, Hancock zoomed in and wrapped up the bad guys in a handy nearby streetlight. Hop Sing himself was on the premises and he was so grateful that he offered Hancock all he could eat. Hop Sing's Dim Sum will re-open tomorrow after they're able to replenish their stock.
